Travel Title: Cath Lab Technologist Location: Springfield, OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (06:45 – 16:45) On Call: One weeknight per week and 1 weekend (Friday night-Monday morning) every 3-4 weeks
Job Responsibilities: Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures. Prepare, monitor, and maintain sterile fields for all cath lab procedures. Set up and operate imaging and monitoring equipment including fluoroscopy systems. Perform EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and arrhythmia recognition. Manage vascular access sites and utilize closure systems (Perclose, StarClose). Circulate, scrub, and monitor during cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures. Ensure patient safety and follow infection control and isolation precaution protocols. Respond appropriately to code and rapid response situations. Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic charting system. Participate in call rotation (one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3–4 weeks).
Required Certifications: ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Required Skills & Experience: Experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including: Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult) Cardiac Stent Placement, PCI, PTCA Right and Left Heart Catheterizations Pacemaker and IABP Placement/Removal Impella, Rotablator, and VAD procedures Knowledge of interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures, such as: Angioplasty, Embolization, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, EVAR/TEVAR, TIPS Renal and Mesenteric Angiography, Chemoembolization, and Radioembolization Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control. Proficiency with fluoroscopy and related imaging systems (GE Innova, Philips). Ability to accurately monitor patient status and equipment during high-acuity procedures.
Preferred Skills: Experience with advanced interventional techniques (e.g., TAVR, Watchman, Optical Coherence Tomography, Endograft placement). Knowledge of hybrid OR and electrophysiology (EP) lab operations. Experience in a Chest Pain Certified and Stroke Center environment.
