Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Controller to support our finance and accounting operations. This role will assist in managing general ledger activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger functions.
Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with auditors during annual audits.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management.
Assist with job costing, multi-state payroll, and benefits administration (construction industry experience is a plus).
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Associate degree considered with relevant experience).
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
3-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or construction environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP experience a plus).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
