Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions. This role supports the finance team by maintaining records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and customer payments.

Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

General Ledger Maintenance:

Prepare and post journal entries.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and balance sheet accounts.

Generate financial reports and provide data for audits.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Support Functions:

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhorn, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
