Job Title: Sterilization TechnicianJob Description
The Sterilization Technician is responsible for sterilizing and delivering reusable dental instruments, monitoring equipment in the department, and maintaining an organized and clean work area. This role also involves processing sterilized items for various departments and students, along with performing other duties as needed.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Proficiency in sterile processing and aseptic techniques.

Knowledge of sterilization and surgical instrumentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Six months of experience working in a dental or medical area preferred.

Knowledge of dental instruments and their maintenance preferred.
Work Environment
The position is based in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery within the School of Dentistry. The work environment is fast-paced, processing over 1000 instrument cassettes per day with 2-3 turns. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some days from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays closing at 2 PM. Benefits include Care Roadmap, Abenity, and GoProgram.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
