Do you enjoy helping U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve unique technical problems? Join AWS as an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC).
On a typical day our engineers dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction, and discuss radical approaches to automate operational processes. You will walk through defined projects, break work into milestones, and implement corrective actions for operational concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and root‑cause issues in ADC, driving complex investigations for the team.
- Coach and mentor the team in RDS and ADC operational best practices.
- Participate in the ADC on‑call rotation.
- Collaborate across the organization and service teams to establish priority alignment, deployment planning and roadmap parity.
Qualifications
- Current, active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Must opt into a commensurate clearance for each agency engaged.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) and 3+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows).
- 3+ years of networking experience and cloud‑computing experience.
- Experience with scripting languages, support procedures, and production computing environments.
- Proficiency with performance and log analysis and troubleshooting/automation of complex tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
A day in the life
The ADC DBS Relational team supports all RDS products and platforms in the ADC regions, providing expertise across engines such as Amazon Aurora, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB.

Amazon’s compensation includes a base salary range of $105,200 to $216,500 per year, equity, sign‑on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
