Entry Level Architect Job at Self Storage Consulting Group in Lexington

Self Storage Consulting Group (SSCG) a Real Estate Development company is a leading provider of real estate development. SS Architecture, LLC is a subsidiary and in-house architectural design arm of SSCG.

Functions

• Preparing detailed drawings showing both the appearance and interior structure of a building project
• Visiting building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans
• Developing and giving presentations to inform the public about upcoming building projects

Qualifications

• Ability to work with architectural software to create building plans
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to large groups
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Willing and able to obtain California registration

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and large-scale printers.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Ability to navigate safely through construction site obstacles such as trenches, roof hatches, enclosed spaces, and high ladders as necessary.

Educational Requirements

• Microsoft Office: Intermediate
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Revit
• Master Degree in Architecture required
