Job Summary
As the Donor Data Analyst Specialist at City Union Mission, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to drive fundraising strategies and to enhance donor engagement, retention, and revenue generation. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing and interpreting donor data to inform decision‑making, identifying and optimizing fundraising efforts. In addition to leveraging data analytics.
Duties/Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Analyze donor data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Conduct segmentation analysis to categorize donors based on various criteria such as giving history, demographics, and behavior.
Perform predictive modeling and statistical analysis to forecast donor behavior and potential giving.
Reporting
Generate regular reports and dashboards to track fundraising performance metrics, including donor retention rates, donation trends, and campaign effectiveness using all available services we employ.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize fundraising strategies and resource allocation across individual donor, churches and businesses.
Database Management
Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Make recommendations to continuously improve our processes and systems where deficiencies are found.
Implement data hygiene best practices to improve data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot database issues and optimize data management processes between NeonOne and NetSuite.
Strategy Development
Collaborate with fundraising teams to develop data‑driven fundraising strategies and campaigns.
Provide strategic recommendations for donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship based on data insights.
Monitor industry trends and best practices in donor analytics to continuously improve fundraising strategies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with development, marketing, and finance teams to align data analysis efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed for specialized data analysis projects.
Participate in strategic conversations related to fundraising or development issues.

Have a desire to serve the Lord through widely varied responsibilities to advance ministry to those currently homeless, and the urban poor of Kansas City, with a compassionate heart.
Agree to City Union Mission’s Statement of Ministry:
Be a genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, as expressed by personal testimony and conduct.
Be a member in good standing of a recognized Protestant, evangelical church for one year or more.
Have a genuine concern for the ministry of City Union Mission.
Have a minimum of one year of sobriety from alcohol and drugs and six months from tobacco.
Agree to abstain from alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and tobacco while employed by City Union Mission.
Have a lifestyle that is free of sexual sin as clearly defined in the Bible.

Qualifications
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, JUMP or SAS.
Experience with database management systems and SQL querying.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and understandable manner.
Poised, confident, outgoing, energetic, self‑starter, highly motivated, and results‑driven.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, business, communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in data analysis and fundraising, preferably in a non‑profit or fundraising environment.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing/kneeling, etc.
Must be able to operate a vehicle to attend events or other related functions.
Travel Requirements
Ability to drive to our campuses in Kansas City and Warsaw, MO.
