What does an FP&A Analyst do at Swire Coca‑Cola?

The FP&A Analyst plays a key role in supporting investment evaluations and operating expense (OPEX) analysis. The role focuses on building and maintaining financial models to assess capital projects, new business opportunities and cost‑optimization initiatives. It provides exposure to advanced financial analysis techniques such as DCF, IRR, ROI and payback period while contributing to budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate capital investment opportunities using DCF, IRR, ROI, NPV and payback period methodologies.
  • Analyze operating expenses, identify cost drivers and support cost‑optimization initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for strategic projects, consolidating assumptions, risks and expected outcomes.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on investment and OPEX implications.
  • Perform variance and trend analysis for capital and operating expenditures, highlighting key deviations.
  • Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc reports summarizing investment performance, OPEX trends and financial projections.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses and scenario modelling under the guidance of senior analysts and leadership.
  • Track and summarize macro‑economic and external market indicators relevant to investment and business performance.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations and business units to validate assumptions and ensure accurate modelling.
  • Assist in improving financial models, reporting tools and automation for greater efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Industrial Engineering or a related field (required) or internship in a finance related field (required).
  • 1+ years of experience in a financial analyst role (preferred).
  • Strong collaboration, cooperation and communication skills, including the ability to lead and influence without authority.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge (daily use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, index, match functions).
  • Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow analysis.
  • Ability to extract and analyse large data files and transform them into digestible reports.
  • Comfortable with Business Intelligence and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Domo).
  • Understanding of basic to moderate‑level financial modelling.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to a rapid, complex and changing work environment and business leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a results orientation.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills refined for customer interaction.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
