Requirements: Valid NJ American Sign Language (ASL) Certificate. Candidates who have earned 30 college credits in ASL and/or Interpreting Studies are encouraged to apply.

Job Goals: To provide an approved education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation for continued education; and to maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, stakeholders, and other staff members.

Salary: Following established JTEA Salary Guide ranging from $59,100 to $107,204

Benefits: Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental benefits. Sick, Personal, and Family Illness days are included.

RESIDENCY LAW: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (P.L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act,” effective September 1, 2011, all newly hired public employees, including public school district employees must reside in State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in NEW JERSEY.
