Job Summary

This hands‑on role will lead and support a variety of facility, process, and packaging projects, including equipment installation, utilities infrastructure, production line optimization, and safety improvements. The Project Engineer will work cross‑functionally with plant leadership, operations, maintenance, sanitation, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Job Duties

• Act as the primary onsite engineering representative during facility construction, collaborating with corporate engineering, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee the installation and startup of production and packaging equipment.
• Provide technical support during plant commissioning and ramp‑up to ensure reliable, efficient operations.
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot systems and drive performance improvements.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and support safety and quality initiatives.
• Manage capital projects from design through implementation, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent industry experience considered.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a similar process industry.
• Demonstrated success managing capital projects and leading cross‑functional initiatives.
• Working knowledge of food‑grade equipment design and sanitary manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with AutoCAD; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel 5–10% for project‑related activities at vendor sites and other company locations.
