Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of the Biological and Health Sciences Division, the Office Assistant responds to requests for information both in-person and over the telephone, and provides clerical support to faculty and staff for the Biological and Health Sciences; and Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts divisions.Posting Date:

20Job Description:
Customer Service (50%)
1. Provide information to students and the public regarding courses and college policies.
2. Provide faculty with policy information and student information as requested and appropriate.
Data Entry/Filing (40%)
3. Prepare and photocopy documents for faculty and division staff.
4. Assist in acquiring and distributing supplies for division faculty use.
5. Assist in clerical aspects of the hiring process for faculty and staff.
Other (10%)
6. Serve as liaison to ensure communication across division staff that work daytime and evenings.
7. Complete required job training.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
1. High school diploma, or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word to create and edit documents.
3. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel to create and edit spreadsheets.
4. Evidence of excellent customer service skills.
Desired Qualifications
1. Previous office experience.
2. Knowledge of academic programs at community colleges, including career/technical education and transfer programs.
3. Knowledge of Canvas or other learning management systems.
4. Knowledge of PeopleSoft human resource management system.
5. Experience using Zoom and Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
6. Spanish language proficiency
Pay
$15.02/hour
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 7:30pm
