Position Overview
Court Interpreter for Spanish language services within Colorado Judicial Branch. Full‑time position. Role requires State or Federal Court Interpreter certification.
Responsibilities
Provide accurate interpretation in all court, probation and ancillary proceedings for LEP clients requiring a Spanish interpreter.
Schedule interpreters for languages other than Spanish, including American Sign Language and Real‑Time Captioning for court appearances, evaluations, reports, mediations and visitations.
Authorize invoices and manage contract documents for independent contractors.
Translate documents and letters for specific programs, coordinating with the Translation Department of the Office of Language Access.
Attend meetings, trainings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or two years of college, or equivalent work experience.
1 to 3 years of experience interpreting in a judicial environment.
State or Federal Court Interpreter Certification or equivalent.
Strong communication and client service skills.
Work Environment Office or indoor environment with sedentary work. Good relative environmental conditions.
Benefits Full‑time salary range $62,257 – $90,273.
