About Intertek’s Building & Construction division Intertek’s Building and Construction division is a suite of Intertek brands that are industry leaders across multiple architecture, engineering and construction disciplines, developing innovative product and project solutions. Its project‑related assurance, testing, inspection and consulting services are a risk‑management and quality‑assurance partner to ensure reliability, safety and performance of developments, existing assets and facilities.
Intertek’s Building Science Solutions (BSS) group Primarily focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.
Job Details Shift/Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 1 PM (Approximately 25 hours per week)
Compensation:
$40 – $55 per hour, based on skill, experience and qualifications.
Travel:
Approximately 25% travel within and out of local area.
What you’ll do
Assist with acoustic projects nationally, including testing, modeling, and consulting services for new and existing buildings
Prepare and review deliverables such as proposals, specifications, reports, and construction document sets
Drive innovation and expand service offerings in key strategic areas of acoustical consulting and field testing
Perform construction administration services and site visits
Prepare professionally written field reports

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Architecture, or acoustics‑related field
5+ years of acoustics consulting experience
Construction administration, progress observation and site inspection experience
Ability to efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment
Excellent organizational and project‑management skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Consistent and professional interaction and communication
Ability to perform office tasks and physical labor tasks
Ability to travel frequently (approx. 25% travel)
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
Professional certification or registration (INCE Board Certification, PE, RA, etc.)
Computer modeling experience (ODEON, iNOISE, etc.)
