Position Overview We are seeking a

Part‑Time Working Dock Supervisor

at our Kansas, MO terminal.

Pay:

$27.50/hr.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities

Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members.

Route City operation and manage daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery operation for optimal safety, performance, on‑time service, cost control, and claims prevention.

Ensure on‑time delivery service by coordinating pick‑ups and deliveries timely and minimizing returns.

Monitor Line Haul operation and dock performance; adjust manpower as needed.

Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight and communicate efficiently with other departments.

Work safely and professionally to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees.

Report all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department, comply with federal, state, and company regulations, and process all daily paperwork associated with the job execution.

Perform other duties as needed, maintaining a positive, supportive, and cooperative attitude at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18; high school completion or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and supervisory experience required.

Knowledge of all Operations jobs in the terminal (Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, Routing).

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.

Detail‑oriented, organized, and multi‑tasking ability.

Must meet all physical requirements, including forklift safety certification and hazardous material handling certification.

Excellent attendance.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Visual acuity required for computer screen or monitor use.

Lifting various types of materials (cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, etc.) up to 100+ lbs. on an infrequent basis; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, load locks, two‑wheel handcarts; standing, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, carrying, and lifting at both waist and above waist level.

Must be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two‑wheel handcart.

Ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts, and tractors; work around and operate motorized equipment.

Must be able to perform essential functions of the job, including work in extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions in a dock environment.
