UC Davis Health Informatics is seeking a highly competent Senior Ultrasound Technologist located in Stockton, CA. The Senior Ultrasound Technologist will provide technical support and sonographic examination for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients, including high-risk obstetric and complex fetal anomaly cases. Key Responsibilities
85% – Ultrasound scanning of perinatal OB patients 10% – General department functions (e.g., quality control, scheduling) 5% – Operation of ultrasound equipment in special applications and areas Minimum Qualifications
ARDMS certification with applicable credential (RDMS, RDCS, RVT, etc.) or equivalent ARDMS in Abdomen or OB/GYN AHA or American Red Cross BLS, or UC Davis Health CPR No minimum education or work experience required, but must demonstrate knowledge and ability to operate ultrasound equipment to produce a quality product. Proficiency in prenatal diagnosis, ability to recognize normal and pathological conditions, and ability to use a checklist while performing studies. Analytical skills for non-routine, complex ultrasound studies; ability to perform detailed and complex ultrasounds on a varied patient population. Extensive experience with complex fetal anomalies and their associated disease processes and maternal disorder. Physical ability to capably perform all functions of a staff sonographer. Demonstrated ability to remain calm under multiple directions and fluctuating work volume; skill to organize workload by priority for timely volume. Effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills; documentation and reporting clarity. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Preferred Qualifications
ARDMS in Abdomen and OB/GYN Recent experience in Perinatology Experience with complex anatomic ultrasound (level II studies), Doppler, multiples, nuchal translucency, and ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis. Interest in further training in prenatal fetal surgery (laser therapy, MMC repair) and guidance for chorionic villi sampling. Preferred Job Title
