The HR Business Partner I position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The successful HRBP I acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR related needs. The HRBP I seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP I maintains an effective level of business literacy about the Company's financial position, its medium term goals and its culture.

Essential Functions

Provides HR guidance to all levels of the organization.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Manages and resolves moderate employee relations issues including but not limited to association grievances.

Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Contributes to the development of the edit/upgrade of departmental policies and process standardizations.

Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

Identifies training and development needs within the organization.

Participates in departmental and organizational development programs, events, committees, improvement projects, etc.

Company representative for legal hearings, including but not limited to unemployment, EEOC, ethics and other legal cases.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or commensurate experience.

Human resource experience or related field.Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations, federal and state employment laws and performance management.

Preferred Skills

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
