Managing Consultant, Environmental Air Quality, Engineering or Science
Join ERM as an experienced Managing Consultant in Environmental Air Quality, Engineering or Science to provide technical expertise, project and team management, and business development support for our Air Quality Service Area. Responsibilities
Manage strategic air permit and compliance assurance programs for industrial clients with complex regulatory issues. Serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including regulatory analyses of industrial facility operations and permitting applications under NSR, PSD, Title V, and NESHAP MACT. Interact with local regulators to steward permit application review and issuance. Build and maintain client relationships to generate repeat business and grow the Air Quality service area. Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. Capitalise on existing client relationships to expand ERM’s profile and market share. Effectively manage project teams, delegate assignments, and mentor junior staff. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related discipline. 4+ years of relevant experience managing multiple air quality projects and building client relationships. Experience with AERMOD, GIS, health risk assessments for permitting, ambient monitoring or emissions sampling, CEQA or related regulatory programs is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports. Driver’s license required; ability to operate a company vehicle and travel to client locations. Position not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Preferred
Master’s degree in a related discipline. Experience in refinery, chemical, and technology sectors. Certification in field (P.E., CSP, CHMM, or similar). Benefits
