Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Salary Range: $120,000–$150,000 (based on experience)
Career Level: Mid-level
Location: Long Beach, CA or Irvine, CA
General Responsibilities
Lead medium to large‑scale healthcare projects from all perspectives—technical, administrative, and financial.
Apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications.
Manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.
Design & Project Execution
Independently plan and execute plumbing design projects.
Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex problems.
Prepare construction estimates and specifications.
Review submittals, produce meeting reports, and lead construction meetings.
Troubleshoot operating systems and perform peer reviews.
Attend job walks and contribute to proposal development.
Travel to job sites for evaluation and data collection.
Position Requirements
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
California PE or CPD registration (preferred); registration in other states is a plus.
Experience Required
5+ years of plumbing design experience in healthcare facilities.
Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards.
Ability to lead projects from concept through construction.
Working Knowledge
California Plumbing Code
National Plumbing Code
California Energy Code
HCAI codes and standards (strong knowledge preferred)
NFPA‑99
Microsoft Office Suite; Bluebeam; Revit; AutoCAD (a plus).
