Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated

Mechanical Design Engineer

to join our H2 Center of Excellence (COE) in Burlington, MA. You will engage and contribute to cutting edge technology which will be integral in a greener world.

Primary Responsibilities

Innovative component and assembly design for water electrolyzer stack platforms and systems

Implementation and iterations of the teams designs for continuous improvement

Scale up electrolyzer manufacturing processes from lab scale to full scale, consisting of fixture design, process development, knowledge transfer, etc.

Collaborate with the systems team on test station design, fabrication and operational testing.

Analyze electrolyzer failure pertaining to mechanical component degradation.

Operate, improve and optimize factory acceptance testing techniques

Work closely with the supply chain departments towards cost reduction

Represent the corporation in interactions with vendors, customers, and other external stakeholders

Qualifications

BS, MS or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering

3+ years working experience focused on mechanical design

Knowledge of fabrication methods and their trade-offs for prototype volumes to mass production techniques

Previous work experience in Electrolyzers, Fuel Cells, Flow Batteries a major plus

Proficient in a major CAD software such as Creo (Preferred), SolidWorks, etc.

Exposure to FEA/CFD is a plus such as ANSYS or Fusion (Preferred)

Hands on fabrication experience

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to folks with varying technical backgrounds

Must be a fast learner, proactive performer and an innovator with bottom-up ideas
