The Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team is seeking a QMS/Quality Process Specialist with SubSafe expertise to join our team. The team rapidly develops and implements manufacturing technologies and processes for cutting‑edge defense hardware, including deployable static and moving surface, undersea and sea‑to‑air vehicles, and scales these products in new manufacturing facilities. What You’ll Do
Design and implement comprehensive quality management systems aligned with SubSafe requirements for maritime vehicle production. Develop quality assurance processes, procedures, and work instructions that ensure compliance with military and naval standards. Lead the integration of quality processes into manufacturing operations, ensuring quality is built into products from design through delivery. Establish certification and qualification requirements for special processes related to maritime vehicle manufacturing. Develop and implement material control processes to ensure traceability and prevent the introduction of non‑conforming materials. Create quality documentation systems that maintain defensible records of all quality‑related activities. Train manufacturing personnel on quality requirements, inspection techniques, and proper documentation practices. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with established quality systems and identify opportunities for improvement. Interface with regulatory bodies, certification agencies, and customer quality representatives as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality outcomes while streamlining processes. Lead root cause analysis for quality incidents and develop effective corrective actions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field. 7+ years of experience developing and implementing quality management systems in maritime or defense environments. In‑depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques, measurement systems analysis, and statistical process control. Experience developing and implementing process control plans, inspection procedures, and quality documentation systems. Familiarity with relevant military specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements for maritime systems. Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or professional certifications in quality management (ASQ CQE, CQA). Experience with implementing ISO 9001, AS9100, or NAVSEA quality management systems. Demonstrated expertise with SubSafe or comparable high‑reliability quality programs for maritime applications. Experience with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Background in submarine or naval vessel manufacturing quality assurance. Experience with digital quality management tools and paperless documentation systems. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and their quality implications. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to quality systems. Experience with supplier quality management and supply chain quality assurance. US Salary Range $129,000—$171,000 USD Healthcare Benefits
