The Litigation Attorney will handle a variety of Personal Injury cases at all stages of litigation, including trial prep, depositions leading to trial, complicated settlements, and in‑court jury and bench trials, representing plaintiff clients. Responsibilities
Represent clients in cases involving products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other personal injury matters. Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law. Guide plaintiff clients through the case process. Interact with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits. Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances on behalf of plaintiffs. Handle cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial. Propound and respond to discovery. Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts. Attend court hearings. Draft complaints ranging from basic motor vehicle accidents to complex premises and assault cases. Prepare for trial, including motions, special verdict forms, jury instructions, and related tasks to support the firm in trial preparation. Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs and experts, witnesses, etc. Research and draft motions and oppositions to various motion types, including but not limited to motions for summary judgment and demurrers, as well as discovery‑related motions. Qualifications
Litigation experience: 2‑15 years (required). An active member in good standing with the New York Bar Association. Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases and take them to trial. Previous experience supervising a team of paralegals. Excellent client service and communication skills. Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills. Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for the role is 150‑300k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Seniority level
