Associate/Vice President, Equity Capital Markets

The Opportunity Chardan’s Equity Capital Market (ECM) desk is responsible for ECM transactions worldwide. The ECM team acts as a bridge between issuer clients and institutional investor clients. Our global desk focuses on disruptive innovation in healthcare, crypto, and other areas. As an Associate on the team, you will manage investor marketing activities such as investor education and management roadshows, order book management, and coordinate and communicate with internal and external counterparties and stakeholders. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact opportunity for a talented mid‑level banker to work directly with institutional investors and enjoy global client exposure and collaboration.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team on all matters pertaining to the execution of ECM deals, including IPOs, PIPEs, private financings, and other transactions.
Build relationships with institutional investor clients globally and maintain regular dialogue on potential and live transactions.
Assist in the origination of ECM transactions by providing market color, investor feedback, investor targeting, etc.
Support investor outreach as needed, actively assist in identifying new buyside relationships to develop.
Support deal teams with the identification, origination, and prospecting of new corporate relationships.
Complete due diligence on new and existing client relationships.
Compile industry analysis and provide analytical findings to senior bankers.
Develop written pitch and marketing materials for client meetings.
Support deal teams in successful development, presentation, and winning mandates and in the execution of both financing and M&A transactions.
Research and analyze financial and operating information relating to companies and industries.
Job Qualifications
3+ years’ experience as an Equity Capital Markets or Investment Banking analyst/associate.
SIE, Series 7 “top‑off,” Series 79, and Series 63 licenses.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization and with C‑Level corporate and investor clients.
Bachelor’s degree from a well‑respected university and a strong academic track record.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively to meet strict and competing deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and quality of work product.
Self‑motivation and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Excellent organizational skills, with initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision.
High maturity and the ability to work as a team player interfacing with top company executives and senior management.
Effective process management abilities.
Compensation: $175,000‑$200,000 base salary, based on the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
