Job Description
We are seeking an
IT Systems Administrator
to work in our
Dayton, OH
office. This position is contingent upon contract award. The Air Force (AF) Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), AF Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate (GB) requires full software development life‑cycle activities to preserve and enhance REMIS service capabilities in support of United States (US) warfighters worldwide.
REMIS is the AF Maintenance Enterprise system providing organizational, intermediate and depot level operational authoritative information for all AF weapon systems. It also serves as the financial system feeder for cost accounting and depreciation of all AF weapon systems.
The scope of services will support the REMIS Program Management Office (PMO), AFLCMC/GBM. ECS will perform all technical and operational support for REMIS, requiring expertise in large‑scale systems engineering, development, integration, and operational processes.
Responsibilities
System Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Patch Management: Manage patch requirements and updates, including cybersecurity patches, notify the Government for approval, test, and apply planned and emergency patches.
System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and address issues promptly. Establish a 24/7 monitoring and maintenance program.
Security Controls: Implement robust access controls and conduct regular security audits. Designate personnel for remanence security and reporting for data spillage or Classified Message Incidents (CMI).
Agile Development Support: Use Agile development processes and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Remedy to plan, execute, and track all Agile work activities including Epics, features, User Stories, help desk tickets, issues, and bugs.
Collaboration and Communication: Work with the REMIS PMO to consolidate Program Management Review (PMR), Sprint meetings, and requested ad hoc meetings into one day to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the REMIS Program.
Reporting: Use Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, defect density, cycle time, burndown charts) to provide visibility into delivery performance and inform sprint planning, retrospectives, and Government reporting.
Continuity of Operations: Ensure continuity of operations during transitions. Provide qualified resources to ensure REMIS data integrity, reliability, and mission availability.
Security Evaluation: Conduct a Cybersecurity Evaluation (CSE) to evaluate information‑related risks to the system. Document findings within the DCC Library with detailed explanations.
System and Software Maintenance: Establish a comprehensive approach to managing patch requirements and planned updates. Test and install cybersecurity patches, run and record security/cybersecurity scans, and update configuration records.
Agile Development Processes: Support frequent and incremental release of mission‑enabling capabilities, maintain system architecture, decompose backlog requirements, and develop a Product Roadmap.
Continuous Integration and Deployment: Establish a process for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), incorporating security testing into the pipeline using static and dynamic analysis tools.
Required Skills
7+ years proven experience as a Systems Administrator and, preferably, as a Systems Administrator Supervisor/Manager or similar role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
Active Top Secret clearance.
Security+ certification.
Solid technical background in systems administration, with familiarity in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Remedy.
Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills, and experience managing technical teams in a DoD environment.
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Desired Skills

Master's degree in an IT related field.
Agile certification.
Other Requirements The System Administrator must live within or be willing to relocate within 35 miles of WPAFB, OH, and possess a Top Secret clearance.
