Your Role on the Team Position Summary Under the close supervision of the Enforcement Lead, the incumbent assists staff, patients, and visitors in maintaining compliance with parking rules and regulations. The incumbent will patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle, issue parking‑violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices for illegal parking, and may boot or tow vehicles as necessary. The incumbent monitors parking areas for safety/security related situations and reports any activity to the UCI Health Public Safety Department or UCI Health Police as needed.
Required Qualifications
Required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process and maintain ongoing FBI clearance throughout employment.
Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Must be available to work alternate work schedules and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to perform sustained foot patrol.
Minimum six months related experience, preferably in customer service/hospitality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Employment is contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation.
Employment contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation. Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
Current State of California Driver's License.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of the California Vehicle Code.
Working knowledge of computer systems and software.
Knowledge of applicable procedures and regulations concerning parking enforcement and traffic control.
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
