You will be defining and designing the infrastructure requirements for on-prem hosting for internal customer needs. You will be responsible for a wide variety of activities that operationalize cross functional teams such as capacity planning and resource optimization solutions for one-off and long‑term workloads, planning, designing virtualized environment solutions.

Responsibilities

Design strategies, technology patterns and service structures.

Responsible for enterprise capability integration by describing and evaluating the opportunities for integration and alignment of information and process flows, selecting appropriate implementation strategies, and defining technology mechanisms required. (Applies to enterprise level, portfolio level).

Compile, develop and align architectural models of current and proposed capabilities and solutions across the enterprise to support strategy and investment decisions.

Drives information integration, information standards, and information management through capability and value analysis and assessment.

Deliver infrastructure engineering and architecture artefacts to solution, service and technology delivery initiatives, programs and projects.

Sets architecture and design direction in cooperation with project management and system design/development.

Engineer solutions and translate the business capabilities into well‑defined infrastructure.

Visualize and communicate architecture engineering concepts, principles, strategies, and models for programs, initiatives, and domains.

Facilitate engineering and architecture discussions with cross‑functional business sponsors and product lines to ensure alignment.

Ensures alignment between architecture projects and standards and related IT projects and plans by working with appropriate IT and business management.

Drives architecture‑related research to further mature architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps.

Directs and approves innovations and/or prototypes based on research and approves recommendations on architecture, tools, methodologies, and/or processes.

Facilitates architecture governance and ensures adherence to architecture standards.

Involved in the design and engineering of enterprise servers, high performance super computing systems, and general‑purpose hybrid and cloud systems, for optimal end‑user business operations.

Research, design, implement and maintain complex infrastructure solutions for internal customer needs such as containerization and on‑demand scaling, etc.

Design and configure secure virtualized environments aligned with enterprise architecture blueprints consisting of virtual machines, virtual networks, high speed and distributed storage systems (SAN, HDFS, SSD, etc.).

Utilize existing tools or assist in engineering custom monitoring solutions to ensure systems are configured correctly, run efficiently and remain secure against potential threats.

Experience Required

5+ years of experience in IT.

3+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture.

Experience with .Net Framework, Infrastructure Architectures, Microsoft Windows, Kubernetes.

Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, VMware ESX Servers, PowerShell, Tekton.

Designing highly scalable hosting infrastructure and solutions.

Designing infrastructure automation workflows and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.

Experience Preferred

Exploring cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions to address pain points.

Creating technology strategies to define standards and best practices.

Prototyping and testing new technologies and services for future use.

Providing strategic, tactical, and operational guidance to business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Deploying and supporting compute, storage, and network infrastructure.

Managing physical, virtual, and containerized hosting.

Implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions and deploying configuration management services and automation pipelines.

Expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes cluster deployment and management.

Experience with SAN‑based storage design, provisioning, and performance optimization.

Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF) and how they interact across systems. Hands‑on experience with HP, Dell, and Cisco x86 servers.

Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud infrastructure.

Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity, storage, and compute issues in hybrid environments.

Education Required

Associate Degree

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Certification Program
