Job Description Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Manager Procurement, IT. The position can be based out of Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ, or Tampa, FL. This role will be accountable for building robust and relevant category strategies that are strongly aligned to business needs and market dynamics. The individual will also serve as a global Supplier Relationship manager to strategic suppliers, ensuring maximum value and innovation from those partnerships. The role works directly with the business, J&J technology team, key suppliers, Global Services and the broader Procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the JJ Technology priorities and devise category strategies that advance those priorities.
Collaborate with business leaders and Service Delivery team to ensure procurement strategies meet business needs and are adopted within the business.
Identify industry trends that procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business.
Partner with the Category and Service Delivery teams in the execution of strategic sourcing events, negotiations and contract lifecycle management.
Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Deliver against savings, innovation and other performance targets for the organization in the role’s area of responsibility and ensure target achievement.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or other advanced degree desirable.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 7-10 years related experience (preferably in procurement, business operations or supply chain).
Influencing skills – able to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the executive level, as well as with peers.
Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, legal, finance, and business teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to expertly present complex information to executives.
Broad‑based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management, source‑to‑pay.
Understanding of legal terms, compliance, and risk management in contracts.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work with data, digital tools and technology to drive insights, business value and process efficiency.
Strong project and change management capabilities.
Proven learning agility, improving both yourself and the people around you.
Ability to effectively deliver against goals and objectives while also balancing shared roles and responsibilities with other team members.
Preferred
Preferred experience in Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Medical Technology sectors.
Past experience in managing IT procurement across lifesciences and pharmaceuticals.
High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience.
Track record in participating and leading cross‑functional teams.
Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment.
Other
10% travel requirement – international and U.S. domestic (if applicable).
Base Salary Range $100,000 – $173,500
Benefits Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following company‑sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees are eligible for the company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the company’s long‑term incentive program. Eligible time‑off benefits include: vacation – 120 hours per calendar year; sick time – 40 hours per calendar year; holidays, floating holidays, work, personal and family time, parental leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child; condolence leave – 30 days for an immediate family member; caregiver leave – 10 days; volunteer leave – 4 days; military spouse time‑off – 80 hours.
