A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine to study the mechanisms underlying liver injury in liver diseases and hepatotoxicity, with a particular emphasis on the role of cholestasis in alcohol-associated liver disease. The research projects focus on the roles and mechanisms of inflammatory mediators and cell death pathways in cholestatic liver disease using mouse models and in vitro cell cultures.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. and possess experience in molecular biology assays, cell culture, and animal experiments. Experience with transcriptomic and metabolomic data analysis is highly desirable.
