Technology Support Specialist – Holy Cross School
Holy Cross School is seeking a full‑time Technology Support Specialist to support our user base of 1,000+ students, faculty and staff. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and upgrading laptops and peripherals, managing Active Directory, and providing training and documentation to users. Position Summary
Normal working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with the flexibility to work after‑hours, on‑call weekends and summer peak periods. The position reports to the Director of Information Technology. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair and dispatch laptop support Respond to, maintain and close work tickets Provide training to users, perform problem resolution and document solutions Assist in the education of staff regarding technology devices and software applications Manage all technology assets and assist with Active Directory administration Serve as a technical lead and guide summer student workers Collaborate with the Director to ensure efficient operation of the computing environment Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable Hold or commit to obtain CompTIA A+ certification within 60 days of employment (additional networking/server certifications a plus) At least one year verifiable experience as a support technician Experience with enterprise help desk software and Windows Active Directory Familiarity with network connectivity and basic understanding of IT infrastructure components Advanced understanding and use of Microsoft 365 Hands‑on experience with Windows 11; MacOS a plus Strong troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving problems with computers/peripherals Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills for positive interaction with students, parents, faculty and staff Self‑starter with proactive, energetic work ethic and ability to work under tight deadlines Team‑player capable of working independently and collaboratively Commitment to excellence and strong written and communication skills Compensation and Benefits
