About The Role

The Scrum Master role is responsible for facilitating and championing the agile software development process by managing sprints, facilitating communication, coaching and mentoring development teams, identifying and eliminating impediments, and promoting the use of standards and best practices. The role ensures smooth operation of agile processes and activities by facilitating scrum ceremonies and maintaining scrum artifacts, while managing related hybrid project activities as needed. Responsibilities

Organize and facilitate agile activities and scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review/demo, sprint retrospective). Manage sprints, remove roadblocks, and act as a liaison between product manager, product owner, and development team. Support the product owner or business analyst with backlog refinement and estimating, ensuring backlog refinement sessions occur. Collaborate on requirement documentation and release planning. Drive cross‑functional collaboration at all levels, coach and mentor team members to improve collaboration and self‑management, and cultivate a self‑organizing team. Report on team metrics to identify and assist in process improvement, use team feedback and velocity metrics to drive continuous improvement. Governance: adhere to and support the use of governance, security, and risk management practices, comply with all company policies and applicable laws, and complete required online training courses. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or business‑related discipline (e.g., organizational management, marketing, finance, or information technology). Experience : 3 years as a Scrum Master; experience with agile planning and development tools (ADO, Jira, or Confluence); planning and problem‑solving with product management and delivery teams; knowledge of agile practices, frameworks, and techniques (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and SDLC practices; experience with fundamentals of iterative development, process, and procedures. Certifications : Required – CSM, PSM, SSM, ASM, or DASM. Preferred – A‑CSM, CSP‑SM, SAFe, or PMI‑ACP. Skills and Abilities : Trust, credibility, diplomacy, and professionalism; coaching and motivation skills; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment; adaptability to shifting priorities; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to elicit cooperation from diverse stakeholders; continuous learning and application of new technologies; excellent customer and relationship development skills; professional and consistent attendance. Additional Requirements

Travel:

Up to 10% travel required (e.g., 2 days/month) by automobile, commercial airlines, or public transportation. Must be able to drive and have proper licensing. Working Conditions:

Indoor, climate‑controlled shared work area. Moderate noise level. Light lifting (up to 25 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs frequently). Requires walking, standing, and regular attendance. What We Offer

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary depends on experience and geographic location. The entry rate for this position is $67,770.67 per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT) with a Washington range of $73,817.63 to $110,726.44.
