Job Description The purpose of this position is to reach out and assist members who have a delinquent loan deemed a total loss to assist in filing total loss claims, negotiating post total loss solution options, and assisting in loans being disputed through a total loss claim. The Total Loss Specialist is responsible for contacting delinquent members and assisting them with solving total loss deficiency balances, discussing insurance check holds, working through any applicable GAP claims, and assisting/directing in canceling products they may have purchased when getting a loan with Ent or a dealership, such as extended warranties. The Specialist is a Liaison between Lending Support, Members, and Ent’s or members’ Insurance company. This role will assist with pre-repossession, post repossession, and remarketing task to include impounded vehicles and claim filing.
Essential Functions
Contact delinquent members to assist with a Total Loss, Short Insurance, or product refunds.
Coordinate with Lending Support, Repossession, and Insurance companies on the Members’ behalf.
Follow up on insurance claims and other associated items.
Review and handle Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) and Auto Loan credit disputes.
Review and address insurance Check holds.
Assist with responding to members’ credit disputes for Auto loans and support the repossession teams.
Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Insurance and Risk Management, or Collections and Recovery. (Preferred)
2+ years’ Collections or related experience. (Required)
Knowledge of Collection Policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of Consumer Lending products.
Ability to think logically, analyze problems and take effective action.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn and retain relevant collections law and policy.
Exposure to web-based transactional systems.
Attention to detail and ability to be accurate with transactions.
Customer service skills.
