We are currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Permanent Director of Quality to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards are met across all our products. Responsibilities:

As the Permanent Director of Quality, you will:

1. Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and plans, including resources, systems, timescales, financials, and project management. 2. Oversee all quality assurance operations to ensure conformance with established product quality and regulatory standards. 3. Direct and oversee the company's quality assurance program to ensure maximum effectiveness, including the design and implementation of new methods and procedures to improve the quality of products. 4. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, including the USDA and FDA, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. 5. Manage and coordinate all audit-related activities, including internal and external audits. 6. Collaborate with other department heads and staff to ensure the company's quality assurance goals are met. 7. Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure continual professional growth. 8. Continually assess the effectiveness of the quality assurance program and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A BS/BA degree in Food Science, Agricultural, Manufacturing, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in the meat and poultry sectors. 3. Extensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, design, testing and implementation. 4. Strong knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations and standards. 5. Proven experience in managing a Quality Assurance team. 6. Exceptional leadership and project management skills. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external agencies. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. 9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
