My client is a leading medical device manufacturing company and are experiencing growth! They are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team who is focused on maintaining the general ledger, managing daily banking activity, processing payroll entries, and supporting month-end close activities.

Job Details
Essential Job Functions Serve as the technical expert for accounting principles and practices Manage general ledger activity, including coding and journal entries Assist with the month end close process Record payroll transactions and ensure accurate reporting Oversee daily bank transactions and perform cash reconciliations Maintain and reconcile prepaid and accrued expense accounts Manage the fixed asset ledger and support asset capitalization Track spending and provide reporting on capital projects Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards under ASC 842 Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations Calculate and record monthly interest expense Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations across key areas Assist with providing financial data during both Audit and Tax preparation Support other accounting team members by serving as a functional backup when needed
Required Skills and Abilities ERP systems experience required Strong technical accounting background General ledger experience, especially fixed assets and lease accounting standards Strong spreadsheet and presentation software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent organizational, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work as a team Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines Able to travel to company manufacturing sites as needed
