Job Description We are seeking an experienced maintenance manager to oversee the paint maintenance shop in our automotive manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will manage shop operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
In charge of shop‑wise maintenance index (downtime, manpower, preventive maintenance, maintenance system, equipment improvements, skill level, etc.).
Prepare, execute, evaluate & improve the annual operation plan.
Oversee activities to encourage good teamwork (interviews, meetings, events, collaboration with expatriates).
Manage the production and downtime condition of the department.
Maintain flexible work schedule based on department shift rotation plan and support urgent equipment issues outside normal working hours (night, weekends, holidays).
Maintain SAP & PM system daily based on painting shop’s PM activities.
Apply strong electrical and system engineering skills and general mechanical understanding.
Maintain smooth relationships with external departments through communication and cooperation.
Manage and monitor the purchasing, distribution and inventory control of maintenance material (tools, subsidiary materials, etc.).
Control the paint maintenance budget of the year (monthly planning and analysis, secure budget).
Supervise and control conflicts in the organization; support any team member issues (organizational control, recruitment, disciplinary measures, appraisal, etc.).
Clearly communicate direction, company business decisions and official information to members.
Evaluate and mentor shop members to encourage continuous improvement.
Enforce company policy.
Qualifications
More than 10 years of maintenance career in automated plants.
Experience managing more than 30 team members.
Ability to understand drawings and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems.
Technical college or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical concentration.
Troubleshooting ability for PLC‑based automation equipment.
More than 5 years of maintenance career in major automotive industry in the US.
Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
AB PLC program and control circuit experience.
Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection and testing of new/modified equipment and processes.
Paint plant special equipment maintenance experience (oven, ASU, painting robot, etc.).
Domestic / International travel required.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree.
