Become part of the Lockheed Martin MFC team within the Tool Design team. The selected candidate will work alongside tooling operations, production, and program engineers to design and develop custom tools and equipment used to manufacture missiles and missile systems.
What You Will Be Doing
Designing, developing, and implementing industrial tooling and equipment used to manufacture offensive and defensive weapons systems.
Designing tooling such as dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use.
Considering such factors as safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements while designing.
Using 3D CAD software (Creo) to create detailed 3D models and technical drawing packages.
Reviewing defective tooling and determining rework solutions.
Providing input on manufacturing methods and process improvements.
This position typically requires 2 years of professional experience.
