We are seeking a
detail-oriented and driven Senior Accountant
to join our growing finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, performing month‑end close activities, and driving process improvements across our accounting operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to make an impact in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review
AP and vendor bills
for accuracy, proper allocation, and prepaid adjustments.
Perform
balance sheet reconciliations
including fixed assets, payroll, benefits, cash, accrued expenses, and intercompany accounts.
Review and approve
expense reports
for proper GL coding and supporting documentation.
Analyze
AP and AR aging reports
and flag transactions for follow‑up.
Prepare
journal entries , including payroll and benefits‑related transactions.
Maintain and reconcile
fixed asset ledgers
and record depreciation.
Support
month‑end close , including expense accruals, amortizations, and variance analysis.
Participate in
annual audit processes
by providing requested documentation and schedules.
Oversee
Avalara
sales tax application and ensure compliance with sales tax regulations.
Identify opportunities for
process improvements
and implement efficiencies across accounting operations.
Ensure all accounting practices align with
GAAP
and company policies.
Perform
ad hoc financial reporting
and analysis as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–5+ years
of progressive accounting experience with full‑cycle accounting knowledge.
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and internal control principles.
Proficiency with
Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas).
Experience with
NetSuite
or another large ERP system preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a
fast‑paced environment .
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively across departments.
