RH is seeking a Leader of Construction Finance and Cost Accounting to oversee financial reporting, financial planning and project cost management across RH’s construction portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Cost Accounting, this role ensures disciplined budgeting, transparent cost tracking, and alignment with RH’s strategic and fiscal goals. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives in collaboration, driving excellence and accountability throughout the construction project lifecycle.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Pre-Construction and Construction teams to review, track and report comprehensive in-house construction budgets that align with business objectives
Establish and maintain robust cost controls and reporting frameworks to ensure real-time visibility into project financial performance
Prepare and deliver monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, providing analysis and insights to leadership for data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with the RH Finance team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting and associated deadlines
Review, change orders and purchase orders in partnership with Construction leadership to ensure budget integrity and strategic alignment
Identify and implement process improvements, technology tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency, transparency, and cost accuracy
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across financial workflows
OUR REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in construction finance, cost management, or project controls, preferably within luxury, retail, or hospitality sectors.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
Proficiency with financial systems and cost tracking tools, with related experience in project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet), preferred.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize critical tasks, maintain timelines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Sound understanding of construction terminology, processes, and budgeting, along with change order and purchase order processing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel domestically and internationally as needed to visit project sites, meet with external vendor partners, and internal team members
Frequent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Spends time in construction sites, retail galleries, and properties under development
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, based on business needs
