We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager specialising in Civils Construction to join our project team delivering a number of projects across Virginia.
This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives on managing complex civil works, coordinating field teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
You’ll play a hands‑on role managing crews, subcontractors, and clients — taking full ownership of cost, quality, and performance across several concurrent jobs.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead multiple
civil and site infrastructure projects
simultaneously across Virginia.
Manage all project phases: preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
Oversee
earthworks, utilities, drainage, concrete, paving, and site development
activities.
Coordinate field superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Prepare project forecasts, progress reports, change orders, and cost‑tracking documentation.
Support business development and preconstruction efforts for upcoming civil packages.
Foster a strong safety culture and mentor junior project staff.
Experience Required
7+ years’ experience in
civil construction project management , preferably with multi‑site oversight.
Strong technical knowledge of
earthworks, utilities, site development, and heavy civil
projects.
Wet and Dry Utilities
experience would be highly advantageous.
Demonstrated success managing budgets of $10M–$30M.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Proficiency in project management software (Procore, HCSS HeavyJob, P6, or similar).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Willingness to travel between projects across the state.
Must be willing to travel to sites weekly; this role will be mainly office‑based but requires the ability to travel.
