he Test Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the overall testing strategy to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves leading a team of testers, coordinating testing activities across multiple projects, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the test strategy, processes, and quality standards for all projects.
Lead and manage a team of manual and automation test engineers, providing guidance and mentoring.
Plan, estimate, and track testing activities to meet project schedules and deliverables.
Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Collaborate with development, business, and DevOps teams to ensure testing alignment with project requirements.
Oversee functional, regression, integration, UAT, and performance testing phases.
Manage defect tracking and reporting, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Establish and monitor testing KPIs and quality metrics to measure success and continuous improvement.
Coordinate test environment setup and ensure proper test data management.
Drive automation initiatives and continuous integration testing within Agile/DevOps environments.
Prepare and present test reports, risk assessments, and quality summaries to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC models (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, HP ALM, TestRail).
Working knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience managing distributed teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Location: Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000.
