Shift Manager – Competitive Hourly Pay Starting from $20-$22 This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, for example, when running the restaurant. However, this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If you are hired for the job described in this posting, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant. McDonald’s USA will not receive a copy of your employment application and it will have no involvement in any employment decisions, including whether you receive an interview for the job or whether you are hired.
Requirements Managers lead shifts every week, making sure customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit. But some managers also lead Departments. Managers’ responsibilities may include managing assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory management, setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results.
The Guest Service Department Manager’s responsibilities include ensuring crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, that sales promotions are performed well, that staff are trained in service procedures, and that the front counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas are organized for best service.
The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers great quality food quickly, food is always safe, food cost is controlled, and all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new menu items.
The People Department Manager ensures the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, and recognizes and motivates crew.
Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. We’re looking for positive team players with flexible schedules who like to work the famously fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate owned and operated restaurants.
