As a Fab Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will work with a team of process and equipment engineers to start up, develop, and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability. Your responsibilities include improving process yield, reducing costs, boosting productivity, managing risk, and resolving manufacturing line problems. You will diagnose and resolve process‐related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC methodology, coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluations, lead yield improvement activities, manage new process baseline qualifications, and audit and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Support installation, qualification, and maintenance of electromechanical vacuum systems.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, optimize equipment performance, and improve process reliability.
Collaborate on automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate documentation for equipment performance, maintenance activities, and process improvements.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to support high‑volume manufacturing goals.
Required Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of electromechanical vacuum systems.
Familiarity with semiconductor fundamentals (device operation and fabrication processes).
Basic knowledge of high‑volume manufacturing environments.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Interest in: Automation technologies and process optimization.
