What to Expect Tesla is looking for an innovative electrical engineer with strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit to join our Factory Design team in Fremont, CA. The electrical design team is responsible for designing state of the art power distribution systems to support factory infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. This position is full time, onsite.

What You'll Do

Execute electrical designs, concept evaluations, and construction drawing completion for permits and execution

Responsible to prepare electrical deliverables with respect to code compliance using Revit: Single line diagram, panel schedule, grounding drawing, conduit drawing, power plan, lighting layout, area classification drawing

Review submittals, vendor shop drawings, and designs for quality control, constructability, and cost

Collaborate with manufacturing, construction, and facilities teams to meet end-user needs and resolve design issues across disciplines and to ensure accurate coordination of electrical systems within the overall Revit model

Interface with external EPC firms during bidding and execution to ensure compliance with Tesla's Engineering Standards

Review new projects, assess Tesla's best interest, and prepare comparative BOMs for cost estimation

Present electrical design concepts and progress at project milestone reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams

Assist in standardization of Revit families and electrical templates.

Conduct electrical studies (arc flash, fault current, voltage drop, selective coordination, lighting calculation, grounding calculation) and distribution planning for infrastructure upgrades

What You'll Bring

Degree in Electrical Engineeringor equivalent experience

2-7+years work experience in heavy commercial and industrial sector (manufacturing, datacenter, hospital, campus, etc.)

Expert knowledge of REVIT MEP

Well versed in National Electrical Code

Experience with BIM coordination, panel schedules, and circuiting

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

Ability tointerfacewith multiple engineeringdisciplines

Licensed P.E. in the state of California or capability to port their existing license within 6monthsof start

Expected Compensation $100,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
