Senior Director of Publicity
– to lead the publicity narrative for our growing digital portfolio of AAA games, as well as D&D and Magic: The Gathering.
This newly created role reports to the SVP of Global Communications and leads publicity that drives cultural relevance and elevates Hasbro across tabletop and video games. You’ll partner with brand, marketing, social, influencer, and digital publishing teams to tell compelling stories, shape narratives, manage major launches, and deepen media relationships across entertainment, gaming, lifestyle, tech and business press.

Strategic Leadership
Develop and lead the global publicity strategy for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Video Games.
Partner with senior leadership to align publicity campaigns with brand, franchise, marketing and business priorities.
Serve as a trusted counselor to executives, creators, and studio partners on Communications opportunities and issues.
Campaign Development & Execution
Design innovative publicity campaigns for key product launches, video games, live events, and storytelling initiatives.
Build breakthrough moments in culture through earned media, influencer engagement, and experiential opportunities.
Ensure messaging consistency across consumer, trade, entertainment, and gaming press.
Media & Influencer Relations
Cultivate strong relationships with top‑tier media across gaming, entertainment, lifestyle, business, and tech.
Proactively pitch and secure feature stories, interviews, and reviews.
Identify and engage influencers, content creators, and thought leaders to amplify brand visibility.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor a high‑performing publicity team.
Oversee agency partners, setting clear goals, and ensuring executional excellence.
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
Crisis & Issues Management
Provide counsel and develop response strategies for sensitive brand and community issues.
Ensure risk assessments and media responses protect Hasbro’s reputation while honoring fan trust.
Oversee agency partners with clear goals, SOWs, and SLAs to maintain high quality and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
15+ years of experience in publicity, communications or PR with a proven track record in entertainment, gaming or consumer brands.
Deep understanding of the gaming ecosystem, including tabletop, video games, and fan‑driven communities.
Demonstrated success in leading high‑profile, global publicity campaigns.
Established media relationships across gaming, entertainment, lifestyle, and tech.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership and people management experience.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, creative, highly collaborative environment.
Passion for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and gaming culture.
Familiarity with Hasbro brands and the broader toy, games and entertainment ecosystem.
