Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of business sales, operations, human resources, finance, supply chain, and safety. The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibility and collaborate effectively across a range of departments. The General Manager will lead the business to maximize productivity and efficiency through strategic planning, effective management, and a commitment to excellence.
Objectives
Develop and regularly update a strategic plan for the business to ensure long‑term growth and profitability.
Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing efficient processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality in all operations.
Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships and exploring potential markets.
Provide guidance and feedback to team members to strengthen specific knowledge and skill areas.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations, assign weekly performance goals, and ensure their completion, aligning with overall company objectives.
Recruit, onboard, and train high‑performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively and within established deadlines.
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans to optimize financial performance.
Delegate responsibilities to the best‑qualified employees and enforce all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved parties.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven success in a managerial role with increasing levels of responsibility.
Strong decision‑making ability, with the capacity to make timely and effective decisions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
Ability to motivate and lead employees, holding them accountable for performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures, with the ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business management, engineering, or a related field.
Experience in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Working knowledge of human‑resources processes, including recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
Travel Occasional travel is required for this position.
