International Recruitment Specialist, Trust & Fiduciary Specialist with some Audit and Finance too - alistair@macrecruit.co.uk On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced

HR Business Partner

to join their Private Clients & Private Wealth division in their Wilmington office. This senior-level position will work closely with Managing Directors and leadership teams to align people strategy with business objectives and drive performance across the division.

The appointed individual will act as the designated HR contact within this jurisdiction, building trusted relationships at senior levels, representing HR in management forums, and ensuring policies and practices are applied consistently.

They will also provide expert guidance on employee relations and oversee HR frameworks, procedures, and handbooks within the region.

Currently, the role manages one direct report, with scope to expand as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic partnering : Collaborate with senior leaders to translate business priorities into HR initiatives and measurable outcomes.

Organizational design : Support restructuring, workforce planning, and change management activities.

Talent acquisition : Work with resourcing specialists to attract and hire top talent, ensuring compliance with recruitment standards and immigration requirements.

Employee relations : Manage disciplinary, grievance, and dismissal processes to mitigate risk and protect reputation.

Reward and compensation : Partner with leadership and reward teams on salary reviews, promotions, and benchmarking.

Performance management : Guide annual performance moderation, ensuring fairness and consistency.

Data integrity : Maintain accurate HR systems and reporting structures.

Talent development : Support succession planning, career pathways, and leadership development initiatives.

Policy and compliance : Ensure HR policies meet regulatory standards and reinforce a high-performance culture.

Cross-jurisdiction collaboration : Work closely with HR colleagues globally to share best practice and maintain continuity.

Candidate Profile

6+ years’ HRBP experience

in a complex, multi-division environment.

Professional certification

(SHRM-CP or PHR preferred).

Broad HR expertise

across employee relations, talent management, reward, and wellbeing.

Strong legislative knowledge

and ability to apply HR best practice.

Excellent communication

skills with credibility at senior levels.

Integrity and discretion

in handling sensitive information.

Adaptability

to balance independent work with team collaboration.
