Dot Ai
Dot Ai
isn’t another SaaS shop dabbling in hardware. We’re the disruptors threading intelligence into every corner of the
supply chain
with
patented IoT tracking devices
and
AI‑enhanced SaaS . We’ve buried legacy logistics, and now we’re building what comes after. Smarter. Faster. Safer.
About the Role At
Dot Ai , embedded systems aren’t just circuit boards and firmware, they’re the heartbeat of our entire platform. As
Embedded Systems Manager , you’ll own the design, development, and delivery of the tech inside our devices. The stuff our logistics customers depend on to track assets worldwide.
This isn’t a paper‑pushing manager role. You’ll be
hands‑on , leading a
team of engineers
who design systems that survive
warehouses, trucks, and global distribution . You’ll set standards, break bottlenecks, and make sure our hardware doesn’t just work in the lab, it thrives in the field.
If you’ve got the scars from building real
embedded products , the leadership chops to
guide a team , and the guts to stand behind devices you helped create, this is your shot. If you live close to Shirley, MA., you’ve got our attention.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead embedded systems design from concept to production, ensuring devices ship on time, on spec, and unstoppable in the wild
Architect and implement firmware and hardware integrations that keep our IoT platform humming at scale
Build and mentor a team of engineers who move fast, solve hard problems, and don’t need babysitting
Partner with product, supply chain, and manufacturing to translate ideas into devices customers can’t live without
Validate and stress‑test systems until they’re unbreakable, because fragile hardware has no place in logistics
Own the embedded systems roadmap, making the calls that keep us ahead of competitors who can only dream about catching up
Leadership and Team Command
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of embedded engineers who deliver under fire
Build a culture of grit, accountability, and swagger that competitors wish they had
Align embedded priorities with product roadmaps that don’t just shift markets, they flip them
Technical Warfare
Architect and drive development of embedded systems for GPS, BLE, LoRa, and other advanced tracking technologies
Oversee integration with sensors for vibration, temperature, motion, and power management
Optimize firmware for low power and extended battery life that crushes expectations
Process and Delivery
Manage multiple projects without flinching, deadlines here are real
Drive agile practices that keep shipping speed high and excuses low
Ensure compliance with FCC, CE, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001. No misses, no exceptions
Quality and Reliability
Oversee field validation and testing of devices built for hostile industrial environments
Partner with QA to find weaknesses and kill them before release
Maintain documentation and traceability that auditors and engineers can both trust
Who You Are You’re not just a manager, you’re a commander. You know
embedded systems
cold, you’ve led teams that shipped hardware that worked the first time, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty when it counts.
You’ve got the degree to back it up — Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or something close. Master’s earns points, but results beat diplomas
8+ years building embedded systems, with at least 3 spent
leading teams
that shipped products people actually used, not lab experiments
You speak
C, C++, RTOS , and
embedded Linux
like they’re your second language
GPS, RFID, LoRa, BLE
— you’ve conquered the alphabet soup of asset tracking tech
You’re fluent in industrial protocols like
CAN and RS‑485
without a cheat sheet
You’ve got a history of shipping
rugged, scalable devices
that take abuse in the field and keep performing
Preferred Skills
You’ve driven
IoT platforms like AWS IoT or Azure IoT , not just clicked around in them
You know how to secure devices against hackers who think they’re clever
You’ve
designed ruggedized hardware
and tested it in conditions that break lesser products
You’ve managed
OTA firmware
updates and
full device lifecycles
without drama
Why Us At
Dot Ai , you won’t be managing by spreadsheet. You’ll be leading the team that makes our
patented hardware
real, reliable, and ready for anything. We’re building the backbone of
intelligent supply chains , and your work is what ensures the devices in the field perform as flawlessly as the vision behind them.
We offer flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work with people who don’t just “do engineering,” they live it. Add a benefits package built for real life and a culture that rewards boldness, and you’ve got a workplace where engineers don’t just build, they dominate.
The Dot Ai Difference We don’t just connect the dots.
We ARE the dot .
The dot that makes hardware intelligent, keeps assets visible, and leaves legacy systems looking obsolete.
The Bottom Line If you’re ready to step into the role of
Embedded Systems Manager
and prove that your engineering belongs on the front lines of logistics disruption, this is your move.
