Position Overview The Senior Manager of Finance / Corporate Development will play a central role in many aspects of corporate finance, new ventures, investments, mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, and special projects. The role is highly rewarding and challenging but provides exceptional work life balance in a tremendous team-oriented company culture.
Primary Responsibilities
Will play a central role in many aspects of corporate finance, new ventures, investments, mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy and special projects. Special projects include a variety of topics such as pricing initiatives, performance benchmarking, deal sourcing, and operational improvements.
Partner with all levels of management and staff across HdL for various initiatives
Serve as a Project Leader, Project Manager or analytical resource to impactful projects of HdL
Responsible for business case formulation, financial and accounting analysis, strategic research and other value add strategic, project management, change management and process improvement initiatives
Prepare senior executive and Board of Directors presentations and exhibits
Serve in a leadership and mentoring role to staff
Lead or actively contribute to a variety of special projects that have a profound impact to HdL
Skills and Qualifications
Highly collaborative with a team building approach
Highly analytical but with exceptional communication and people skills, both written and oral
Assertive and competitive mindset balanced with diplomacy and team orientation
Strong understanding and application of corporate finance, financial modeling, and valuation, and corporate accounting required
Conceptual understanding and practical experience with company valuation methodologies strongly preferred
Highly proficient in all MS office suite products, including MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in finance, economics, accounting or related analytical field
MBA strongly preferred
Understands and thoroughly represents HdLs core values
5-10 years of experience preferred or other background within high performance culture
Strong desire to work on diverse projects, ranging from operations and accounting / tax in nature to strategic and investment focused
Prior experience in mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance or strategy consulting within professional services and / or notable company required. This is not a role for accountants without the aforementioned prior experience
Prior experience successfully leading and managing teams and people required
Experience with legal documents and negotiations a plus
Compensation The starting base salary for this Brea, CA position is expected to be between $124,748.33 to $155,935.42 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
