As an
Application Engineer I - Pre‑sale Product Selection
you will support the Phoenix Controls factory based in Acton, Massachusetts. You will collaborate with stakeholders on programs and projects to ensure successful execution, manage SKU and catalog numbers of variant configurable parts, handle "Specials" requests, manage price increases, assist business transition to a new e‑commerce platform, and maintain process documentation. AutoCAD Lite is the primary tool for this role and you will work directly with customers to select the correct products for given applications. You will report to the Sr. Program Supervisor and work on a hybrid schedule from the Acton location. Responsibilities
Participate in programs and projects within the Phoenix Controls factory Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and mitigate risks Manage legacy SKUs, obsolete products, and change‑orderable features Create and manage wiring diagrams in AutoCAD Lite, and contribute to BIM and Revit models Utilize SAP for product bills of materials Develop subject‑matter expertise in Critical Environment airflow systems Travel occasionally for company events or training Qualifications
Experience in pre‑sales engineering, product collaboration, or product selection Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment Knowledge of variant configurable part structure Understanding of project management principles and methodologies Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Proficiency with SAP and Tridium Niagara is a plus Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $79,000 – $99,000. Benefits
