Senior Tax Analyst
We have an exciting full‑time Senior Tax Analyst opportunity with a major firm located in Hoboken, New Jersey. The position is hybrid: three days in the office and two days remote.
Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 plus a competitive benefits and bonus package.
Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax return work‑papers, including inputting information to tax‑return software.
Prepare non‑income tax filings, such as withholding tax forms and business & occupation tax returns.
Assist with US tax compliance, provision processes, and governance matters for the firm and affiliated companies.
Prepare monthly tax provision calculations for the firm and/or subsidiaries, including quarterly Head Office reporting.
Assist management with tax audits and notices, gathering information and assembling responses to auditors.
Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions for the firm and/or subsidiaries.
Arrange payments via EFTPS, wire, or check as required.
Assist with special tax projects, such as amending tax returns due to audit settlements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or an advanced tax or accounting degree is a plus.
Minimum 2‑4 years of taxation experience in a Big Four, public accounting firm, or equivalent industry.
Experience with US federal corporate income tax returns (1120), state and local income tax returns, foreign corporation returns (1120F), and consolidated returns.
Financial‑institution background is a plus.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax‑software systems (OneSource RS preferred); ability to import/export data between tax and GL systems.
Familiarity with Power Query, combined/unitary returns, and multi‑state issues.
