Responsibilities
Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to athletes to prepare them for competition.
Be knowledgeable about sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety.
Become an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques required for the sport.
Support the coordination and recruitment of student participants.
Qualifications
At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain one prior to coaching (online CPR not accepted).
Teacher certification preferred.
Completion of CHSAA coaching registration.
Previous coaching experience or experience working with urban youth and/or teaching experience (preferred but not required).
Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high-quality education.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without accommodations.
