Test Engineer - Battery Lab

to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, MI. Element Warren provides testing and engineering services to manufacturers and leading suppliers in the passenger car, light truck, bus, off‑highway, and military vehicle sectors. Its range of capabilities includes component and system testing, system simulation, engine performance, and full vehicle structural testing.

Responsibilities

Conduct life cycle testing on cell, module, and pack level batteries

Interpret and work to several OEM test specifications

Interpret and work with SAE and ASTM standards

Create and update project timelines for multiple customers

Use of various data acquisition equipment

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Identify test equipment, lab facilities, and fixture resources to complete various testing per test plans

Review test data and provide presentations to customers (OEM and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers)

Create project summaries and final reports for customers

Effectively communicate test details, concerns, and timing with multiple customers

Work closely with other technicians

Skills / Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Engineering or Electronics highly desired

Minimum 2 years experience in a testing related field

Knowledge of AVL / Bitrode battery testing systems desired

Ability to work overtime as needed to accommodate client schedules. Must be a good communicator
